Congrats EDG!
EDG Worlds Skins | Release Date, Price, Champions & More
We have been speculating on the EDG skins for a long time now. At first we thought that Lulu would be receiving Meiko's World Championship skin, but instead he went all sentimental on us and chose to immortalize his own cat with a Yuumi skin... and honestly we aren't even mad.
What other champions are getting skins, though? Sure, the splash was leaked last week already, but now we have confirmation from Riot on when the skins release, so let's go over all the information we've got on the upcoming EDG World Championship skins!
Which Champions Will Receive EDG World Championship Skins?
EDG competed with a five-man roster, which means we're getting five EDG skins in 2022. None of the skins will receive a prestige skin, since these are skins representing a team and it's players, and they're all an equal part of the team.
- EDG Graves
- EDG Viego
- EDG Zoe
- EDG Aphelios
- EDG Yuumi
A few months ago former Griffin coach — the team which Viper made his pro debut on — cvMax had already leaked on his stream that the bot laner had chosen Aphelios for his World Championship skin, so there was no real surprise there.
Previous World Championship Skins
Each year, World Championship teams get to choose the skins they want for champions of their choosing. This is determined by champions they played during the tournament. So let's check out which champions were chosen in the previous years.

How Much Will the EDG Skins Cost?
As already mentioned above, these skins will all cost the same, which is 1350 RP. They're all epic skins that will be locked in the legacy vault and only brought back each year during the World Championship. This is similar to Bewitching skins which can only be purchased around Halloween.
So, if you've got some extra RP and you play any of these champions, you should snatch them up quickly. If not, then there are going to be some High Noon skins available as well soon if you're more into that type of fantasy.
When Will the EDG World Championship Skins Release?
These skins will be available with League of Legends Patch 12.9. Patch 12.9 will drop a day after the start of the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational on May 11, 2022. That week has so much for us to enjoy, eh? So get ready and save some RP for these beautiful high-fantasy meets anime inspired skins.
