Right now the only esports event going on is the LPL's Demacia Cup. The event is set to finish on December 27, 2022 just in time for the 2023 season kick-off event which will be held on January 10 and 11, 2023.

Watching the Demacia Cup though, we see some interesting new trends emerging due to all of the preseason 2023 changes. During a recent stream Team Liquid content creator Drew "Midbeast" Timbs watched some gameplay from the event and commented on the insane gameplay.

LoL: TL Midbeast Talks of Wanting to Participate at Demacia Cup

During the stream Midbeast watched the match between the academy team LYA and LML Huya, a team made up of Chinese content creators and some of the best one-trick players in the world.

In the specific game Midbeast commented on LYA left open HanQianLuo's Ezreal. He is the best Ezreal player in the world so getting to see him play in a professional setting on his main champion is a treat to behold. Midbeast felt the same way as he watched the game on stream.

At one point he thought about the game and realized that on the Team Liquid content creator roster there are some pretty big names as well, such as Broxah and Bwipo, which caused him to tinker with the idea of playing in the Demacia Cup come 2023.

Will this happen? Who knows, but it sure would be interesting to see western content creators try their hand at taking on some of these super server one-tricks as well as LDL and academy teams. Would a team made up of western streamers, as well as former pros be able to make it as far as Huya MOJ, the streamer team that has gotten to the final round of the Demacia Cup?
