In a recent interview with Thorin, ex-G2 CEO Ocelote shoots against his former player Rekkles.
Former G2 Esports CEO Carlos Bashes Rekkles In First Interview
It's that time of the year again... it smells like beef in the European esports scene, and this time two of the biggest names in League of Legends are involved. Former G2 founder and CEO Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez is back and takes shots at his former player Martin "Rekkles" Larsson.

Ocelote Interview: Takes Shots At Rekkles
Ocelote has been one of the most controversial figures in European Esports in recent years, especially after he was seen partying with alleged human trafficker Andrew Tate.
Now it seems that he wants to add another chapter to this history. In a recent interview with "Esport Historian" Duncan "Thorin" Shields – another controversial figure in esports due to multiple misogynistic remarks – Rodríguez had some less-than-positive things to say about his former player Rekkles.

Rekkles, joined G2 under Ocelote's leadership in 2021. In the Thorin interview he is referred to as "the worst possible teammate on many occasions." Rekkles' time at G2 was not particularly successful. The team failed to qualify for international tournaments, and Rekkles departed the following year.
One of the main criticisms from Ocelote was Rekkles' reluctance to adapt:
Rekkles is like a whimsical woman, that's how he reacts, you know. You have a talk with him, and you say: "Hey, you have to play more than this champion, which is not even meta. You have to play meta champions. This is what the coach wants, and you've got to do it, bro, you have to do it." And he's like, "yeah yeah I understand." And the next thing you hear is the day after the scrims. He is muting his microphone and just automatically picking this champion. [...] He's that kind of person; he is the worst kind of teammate to have on a team on many occasions.
Despite this, Ocelote still acknowledges Rekkles' incredible mechanical skill and his ability to perform well under pressure.
It will be interesting to see how Rekkles reacts to these comments about him. It is no secret that Rekkles himself was not satisfied with his time at G2, as he mentioned in a livestream that he and Ocelote were "enemies" during that period.
Now that Ocelote is back, we can surely expect many more stories from the past in future interviews or other formats. It seems that Ocelote has not lost his unfiltered style during his "break."
