LCS Playoff Race: How TSM Might Go Out With A Banger Result
TSM are unstoppable! In the organization's final LCS split, the team has found its groove and is now looking towards a potential top four finish in the regular season. At the other end of the table, FlyQuest are losing more and more ground towards the playoffs places.
After ending week 4 of the LCS summer split undefeated, TSM have made another step to a regular season finish reminiscent of their glory days. The losses of top teams Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses give them a slither of hope that the top two, which would automatically qualify TSM for the second round of playoffs, might not entirely be out of reach.
TSM have announced earlier in the year that they will no longer participate in the LCS after the 2023 season. This announcement came only a few weeks after Counter Logic Gaming announced their team was acquired by NRG. However, CLG has ceased all operations within the company, while TSM is planning to return to League of Legends in another major region.
TSM Keep On Winning As FlyQuest's Changes Have Not Yet Yielded Results
In an action-packed match against Dignitas, TSM were able to take control and bring home a substantial gold advantage to end the game just shy of the 30-minute mark. However, their match was special for another reason, as bot laner Jason 'WildTurtle' Tran made his 612th LCS game and thereby dethroned TSM legend Søren 'Bjergsen' Bjerg as the most experienced player in the LCS.

At the other end of the table, FlyQuest take another loss in their crucial match against NRG. While mid laner Djalal 'Spirax' Djiar brought a fresh breath of air to the roster, he could not stop NRG from taking an important win in the playoffs race. FlyQuest remain two wins short of a playoffs spot as eigth-placed 100 Thieves take a painful loss against last-placed Immortals.
