FlyQuest Replacing Mid Laner VicLa

Only 6 matches away from the start of the LCS playoffs, FlyQuest will swap their mid lane player, to make the miracle run. Deakwang "VicLa" Lee will be replaced by LCS rookie Djalal "Spirax" Djiar, who previously played for the FlyQuest Challengers team.

The swap was announced in a Twitter video by FlyQuest's president Chris "PapaSmithy" Smith and Nick Phan, General Manager.

VicLa has been part of the FlyQuest roster since December 22, when he joined from the Korean team KT Rolster. The performances of the team were rather weak in the last couple of match days with three straight losses against Dignitas, Cloud 9 and 100Thieves. Regarding the swap, Papa Smithy stated:

Our LCS performances fallen way below our pre-season expectations. [...] We're definitely in a position, where injecting change felt indicated. Ultimately, when we decided to hold on to our challengers roster for summer. That was recognizing that we had some really strong talent. And honestly, Spirax has been the most impressive performer.

However, the qualification for the playoffs is still possible and FlyQuest fans are hoping that the player swap might bring new energy. It will be interesting to see, how the play style and team comps might differ now, with the addition of Spirax.
