TheShy won't be on Invictus Gaming for the 2022 LPL season. We knew that much. The top lane star is one of the most well-known faces in the LPL and many fans were worried that he might go to the LCK and join teams like T1 or DAMWON KIA who were both looking for top laners.

Instead, TheShy has decided to stay in the LPL. This shouldn't be too surprising since the player has stated before that he prefers the LPL playstyle over that of the LCK.

TheShy Signs with Weibo Gaming

As mentioned, there were multitudes of rumors floating around. Was Kang "TheShy" Seung-lok going to quit? Would he join the LCK? Which LPL team offered the most for such an iconic player? Well, all that was revealed on December 14, 2021, just ahead of the Demacia Cup

TheShy has decided to stay in the LPL – a huge sigh or relief for LPL fans – and join former Suning, now known as Weibo Gaming. He will join the 2020 World Championship runner-ups ahead of the 2022 LPL season.

Weibo Gaming's Roster is Complete

This means that Weibo Gaming has completed their roster for the 2022 LPL season. Earlier in the off-season top laner Bin left the org but hasn't found another team yet, which is why Weibo was looking for a new top laner.

This is the complete roster for Weibo Gaming ahead of the 2022 LPL Season:

  • Top Lane: Kang "TheShy" Seung-lok
  • Jungle: Lê "SofM" Quang Duy/Chen "View" Yu-Ming
  • Mid Lane: Xiang "Angel" Tao
  • ADC: Tang "huanfeng" Huan-Feng/Zou "Assum" Wei
  • Support: Luo "ON" Wen-Jun

Do you guys think this roster will be able to take on the big names like RNG and the 2021 World Champions EDG? We will have to wait for the Demcaica Cup to know just how well this team can play together ahead of the 2022 LPL season.
