Though the patch 12.11 has just gone live, we live in strange times of balance upheaval, and already the information on what can be expected in the future is needed. Well, the PBE changes give us an inclination of just that.

Patch 12.11 was meant to balance out all the unexpected quirks that came with the massive durability update, and breathe life back into the champions hit too hard by these changes. However, it seems that Riot Games have delayed any such moves for a later time.

Assassin Buffs Delayed For Patch 12.12

The AD assassin class in League of Legends was the one hit the hardest when it comes to the recent durability update, with only two of these champions having a win rate that is not below 50%.

And, while patch 12.11 was meant to give assassins their edge back, with the lethality changes, these never went live, as Riot are still deliberating on just how to bring assassins back into the game without effectively reverting the durability update for them, and testing those out on the Public Beta Environment server.

The proposed changes that never made it to the live servers are:

  • Duskblade of Draktharr - Lethality: 18 ⇒ 22
  • Eclipse - Lethality: 18 ⇒ 22, Damage Proc: 6% max. HP ⇒ 6% max. HP (melee) / 3% max. HP (ranged)
  • Prowler's Claw - Lethality: 18 ⇒ 22
  • Axiom Arc - Lethality: 10 ⇒ 13
  • Serpent's Fang - Lethality: 12 ⇒ 14

It remains to be seen whether Riot Games will actually go through with these changes in patch 12.12, or if there will be a new way they think up to breathe back life onto assassins.

New Bot Lane Champion Name Leak - Nilah

Bel'Veth has not yet found her place in the meta, nor in the hearts of the players, and Riot are already poised to bring another champion to the Rift.

The new bot lane carry's name has been leaked, and it is Nilah. What is interesting however is that the short story featuring this champion, called the "Oyster Bill's Oyster Shack" refers to Nilah as "they", which may mean that Nilah could be the first transgender champion in League of Legends.

Or, perhaps, we are looking too much into it and they merely wanted to hide even the fact that she is a female champion before her big reveal.

Nilah was said by Riot to be close to Bel'Veth and Udyr's release, and the Big Bad Bear who leaked the champion's name pointed out that she can be expected to arrive with the new Star Guardian skins, as her release skin will be of that skin line, meaning that we can expect her to arrive with either patch 12.12 or 12.13, and even earlier at PBE, for some testing.

Patch 12.12 New Skins and Mythic Shop Changes

The Mythic shop changes and new skins coming with patch 12.12 on PBE are intertwined. After all, the Ashen Knight skin line is part and parcel of the Mythic Shop Content, and one of the Ashen Knight skins is coming with patch 12.12 along with the new Snow Moon skins.

The skins coming with patch 12.12 are as follows:

  • Snow Moon Kayn
  • Snow Moon Caitlyn
  • Snow Moon Illaoi
  • Ashen Knight Pantheon

The Snow Moon skins will be a welcome reprieve to look at after staring at the sun for the whole day in the coming summer heat, while Pantheon is nothing if not an Ashen Knight, with a reference to the God of War hidden in there somewhere. One thing is for sure, we look forward to seeing the old champions in a new light on the Rift.
