The LCS Summer Playoffs, also known as the LCS Championship is underway as multiple teams fight for the three spots available at the 2022 League of Legends World Championship in North America. Who is going to represent the LCS on home soil this year?
Will NA be able to make it out of groups this year or is the region doomed to fail once more? The region has been losing viewership to other regions like the LEC and LCK, but with a good performance at Worlds this year we could see NA regain some glory, but who will have this burden placed upon their shoulders?

LCS Championship 2022: Start and End Dates
The first round of the playoffs, which have an upper and lower bracket run to finals, kicked off on August 20, 2022. The finals of the event are going to take place on September 11, 2022 in Chicago Illinois. The arena of choice? The United Arena which has a capacity of 23,500.
Riot even released a statement saying that they were going to open up more seats for fans due to a high demand in tickets for both September 10 and September 11.
Teams Qualified For LCS Championship
The LCS has 10-teams in total, but it's the top eight that make it into the playoffs. The first two teams automatically qualify for the second round of the upper bracket while teams 3 to 6 play in the first round. The losers of those games have to play through the lower bracket to try and make it to the finals at the United Arena.
