The LPL is one of the most exciting leagues in all of League of Legends. If you want fights, bloodbaths and constant action, then this is where you need to tune in to watch, because this is some exciting stuff. The LPL Summer 2022 Playoffs won't be any different either, so get ready to watch the action unfold.
Now that the regular season is finished, it's time to fight for those 4 precious spots at the 2022 League of Legends World Championship. Will EDG be able to make it? Is RNG going to win both Worlds and MSI? So many questions, but first we need to get through the 2022 LPL Summer Playoffs.
LPL Summer Playoffs 2022: Start and End Dates
The LPL Summer playoffs are pretty long, hence why they will already kick off on August 16, 2022. The first round of teams will play and hope to move on to make it to the final date of the playoffs to take home the title of LPL Summer Champion.
The Finals will take place on September 1, 2022. This will give the winners enough time to make it to the 2022 League of Legends World Championship being held in Mexico and the United States of America.
Teams Qualified For LPL Playoffs
In the LPL a total of 10 teams qualify for the playoffs. The LPL is the largest league by far with a total of 17 teams competing and the top 10 will earn a spot in the playoffs. These are the 10 teams that have made it to the 2022 LPL Summer Playoffs:

LPL Summer Playoff Format and Schedule
So, let's quickly go over the LPL Playoff format. It's pretty simple actually, with the bottom four teams having to play against one another in the first round. The winners of those matches move onto the next round where they play those who placed 6 and 5 during the regular season.
The winners of the 2nd round move onto round 3 where they play against those teams that placed third and fourth. Simple to follow right? The winners of round 3 move on to round 4, the losers eliminated forever... that is until Spring 2023.

Now in the fourth round of the LPL playoffs is when it gets interesting. The winners of round 4 stay in the upper bracket, while the losers fall to the lower bracket. Then it's time for the semi-finals. The winner of the upper bracket semi-final moves onto the finals right away, while the loser has to play one more game against the team that won the first lower bracket game.

JDG Gaming topped off Top Esports in a reverse sweep and managed to score themselves an automatic ticket at the 2022 LPL Finals.

JDG have won the 2022 LPL Summer Split with an insane finish! Once again the series went back and forth, just like the semi-final between JDG and TES previously. Game 5 was insane, with JDG falling behind, but coming back to take the crown of the LPL and earning the number 1 spot for the LPL at the 2022 LoL Worlds Championship.
