Void Event Confirmed?
Corrupted Kai'Sa Hints at Void Event
The last time we saw Kai'Sa was when she was fighting Rek'Sai in the 2022 League of Legends trailer alongside Taliyah. In the video she sacrifices herself for her new friend and is sucked back into the Void... could this be what happened to her after?
The Void is the most mysterious region in Runeterra, with creatures of unimaginable horrors being born there. Throughout the end of 2021 and the start of 2022 Riot has been hinting at an event taking place and this could be the final nail in the coffin that has sealed everything we needed to know about the next big event.
New Kai'Sa Splash Art
We know that a few years ago, Gangplank was completely deleted from the game after he 'died' in the League of Legends lore. Could something similar be happening to Kai'Sa now? Her splash art does suggest that Riot is going down a similar route once more, with a corrupted Kai'Sa splash being shown on the League of Legends universe page.
In the splash art, we see her being corrupted by the Void — likely Bel'Veth the empress of the Void and the next League of Legends champion — and we also see a bunch of Void fish in the background as well.
Not only that, but some of the voidlings in the original Kai'Sa splash have also disappeared, likely to do their empress' bidding to take over Runeterra and spread the purple sea. This has been the first hint at Bel'Veth's release and the much-anticipated Void Event we've gotten in a while, so we're going to jump on this info as we speak.
Void Event and Bel'Veth Release in LoL Patch 12.11?
League of Legends Patch 12.10 is being released next week and along with it we're getting a whole bunch of durability changes. It could be, that Bel'Veth has been delayed due to these changes, but with the Kai'Sa splash being updated on her universe page, we could believe that there is going to be something lurking in the shadows.
Maybe, Riot will release Bel'Veth and with her release, Runeterra will be thrown into chaos and darkness as the Void tries to take over the world. None of this is confirmed yet though, but we've been desperately waiting for Bel'Veth and the Void event for a while, so it would make sense for her to finally be released with even her abilities having been leaked recently.
Bel'Veth Trailer Released
Riot just released the new Bel'Veth trailer on May 20, 2022. In the trailer Kai'Sa faces off with Bel'Veth. Is this the moment where she becomes corrupted? Is this the catalyst for the upcoming Void event?
What do you guys think? Is this just us looking too deeply into things or could this finally be the catalyst for the long awaited Void Event.
